About This Role

The focus of this role is to build, manage, and scale Facebook ad campaigns that meet or exceed designated campaign Key Performance Indicators for our customers. You will accomplish this by working closely with a Sr. Media Buyer to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and scale Facebook ad campaigns.

The ideal Facebook Ads Manager has a HIGH attention to detail. Additionally, they are able to spot trends, problems, and opportunities for their accounts.

You should be eager to get your hands dirty in the data to spot problems and proactively recommend solutions.

You are free to complete your work from anywhere you choose. The only requirements are a reliable internet connection, a distraction-free work environment, a computer, and a web camera. Although you may live and work anywhere you choose, you will be required to attend some regular meetings during Canada-based (PST) business hours.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Full time position
  • Love working in a lean, start-up based environment where teamwork and communication is crucial, but also possess the ability to work independently
  • After training in our methods, Full time management of clients ad accounts. That includes setting up all relevant campaigns like TOF, MOF, BOF, etc.
  • In-depth research on new clients previous data, campaigns, etc. You have to be efficient in Facebook Analytics
  • Creating ad copy that speaks to the emotions of the end-user and converts
  • Being able to strategize and come up with new angles/hooks/video ideas daily/weekly/monthly.
  • High attention to detail is CRUCIAL. This is an absolute must as we are spending thousands of dollars a day on campaigns.
  • Daily campaign management – Must be available on the weekends to check your campaigns and ensure things are going smoothly. If needed, you’ll have to be able to adjust campaigns quickly.
  • Able to scale up campaigns
  • Eager to split test new creatives, ad copy and audience
  • Creating weekly/monthly reports for clients

1. Facebook ad campaign construction and maintenance
a) Know the AdVenture Marketing SOP’s inside and out for building campaigns to specifications
b) Able to take verbal and written direction from the Sr. Media Buyer and translate into a properly set up campaign meeting specifications
c) Develop and maintain a complete knowledge of (ever changing) Facebook tools for building campaigns, audiences, conversion tracking, and other tools used in delivering results for customers.
d) Writing ad copy relevant to the customer
e) Asking for what you need and being able to relay information to the video editor or Sr. Media Buyer


2. Facebook Ad Analysis

a) Complete understanding of all available numbers in the Facebook Ads Manager dashboard
b) Mastery of interpreting numbers as it relates to real world traffic flows in a campaign
c) Ability to spot problem areas in a campaign and bring them to a Media Buyer’s attention
d) HIGH reliability and attention to your campaigns under management

3. Digital Marketing Development

a) Develop and maintain mastery of digital marketing concepts
b) Courses & certification opportunities provided
c) Desire to ascend to Sr. Media Buyer position backed by development work to get there
d) Ability to learn independently from video courses, books, reading

Our interview process is designed to allow you to demonstrate your expertise and skill level. Expect to do some fun, different stuff along the way!

There are some regular business hours obligations (especially in the beginning while you’re training), but otherwise, you’re free to manage yourself once you demonstrate your ability to deliver results.

Little Details

  • This is a full-time contractor position to start
  • The right candidates will be able to quickly advance to Sr. Media Buyer
  • You will be providing your own computer & internet access to complete this work.
  • This job has flexible hours, but we typically work 9-5pm PST. As a media buyer, you must be prepared to check your campaigns on the weekend and adjust quickly.
